There was a spring we didn’t have words for, and we got through it mostly in silence, with the nursery door quietly closed.

These three songs held what conversation couldn’t — ninety seconds of piano, no lyrics, because lyrics were the thing we couldn’t manage that season.

I made this capsule gently, for us, so the quiet spring would be remembered as something we survived together and not something we pretended away.
